Essential Answers for Your Music Production Queries
What genres do you specialize in at Nexxus Productions?
Nexxus works with artists from all over the world making all types of Genres. Our main goal is to make whatever you feel or envision come to life, compete in today's market, and have it's own unique and special sound.
However, Nexxus does have his own personal sound as well that can inter-mingle with different genres. Some of which include: Trap, Hip Hop, R&B, Pop, House, Rock, Emo, and Ambient, Synth-Driven blends of all of the above.

Do you offer any packages for new artists?
As far as new clients go, Nexxus offers a free one-on-one 15 minute consultation via Zoom, or in person to see if it's a good fit. The first hour of production is always free to new clients.
Nexxus also offers a 1 hour consultation at a discounted price where you go over music and receive detailed notes about each song, as well as help build a plan of action to achieve the results you're looking for / or answer any questions you may have.
Nexxus Productions also develops tools to help guide new artists in the process of succeeding in today's music industry so you can do it yourself as well.
Can Nexxus Productions help with music distribution?
Not directly. Nexxus Productions is not a distributor. However, Nexxus can give you resources or put you in touch with distribution platforms, indie labels, or other industry contacts that can get your music onto all major platforms, as well as help you with playlisting (or do it for you.)
How long does it take to Record / Produce a single track?
Recording a track? That's where engineers come in. One of our trained and approved engineers can do that for you, and finish a track as fast as you're able to perform it.
Producing a track? That's going to take anywhere from 1 day, to 2-3 weeks. However, with that comes the satisfaction that you're going to leave with a product that's high-quality and competitive in today's market - but most of all, that you are proud of, and is authentically YOU!
At the end, what you'll leave with is a fully produced, mixed, and mastered song - ready for distribution.
Note: it's best to create a release strategy before dropping it! We can also assist with that, as well as give you access to tools that get's some of the heavy leg-work done for you.
Why not just pay an engineer at a studio near me?
If you haven't already, you should!
It's suggested that you shop around and try some local studios before booking sessions with Nexxus. This might help you get a feel for the recording process, and set a bar for you. Plus, there are some great engineers out there that are producers as well!
On the other hand, there are engineers that are just there to make their hourly wage, and don't care about you or the song that comes out... So while exploring, remember that each experience will be different... and many engineers aren't getting paid to make hits. They're getting paid to press record. Your talent, or art has very little to do with what comes out at the end in these cases.
Here at Nexxus Productions, we believe in doing whatever it takes to get the best possible finished product. That's it! With 20+ years of experience in the art of production, Nexxus is highly-skilled at bringing out the best in you - and digging deep to find the magic you have inside of you. This can be a challenging process for people who are just starting out... but if you are just starting out and want to jump in head first - book a consultation and see if you feel like it's a good fit!
What do I need to prepare for / what can I expect for my first session?
Bring any demos, lyrics, or concepts you have, and consider the desired mood and style. Be ready to talk a bit about yourself. Be open to sharing who you are - even if the truth is you don't know yet!
You can expect that during your first session, you'll be spending some time "vibing" and getting comfortable, talking about (or listening to) the song / demo / vision that you have. When the vibe is set and the vision is clear - it's time to work! We like to dive deep over here, whether that means laughing and having fun - or getting vulnerable and writing a song together. Nexxus wants you to have your creative freedom, while still maintaining consistency in your brand, marketability, and competitive audio quality.
